Anne Coulter on "Profiling" for Airline Passengers

While we're looking at Ann Coulter videos, take a look at a very prescient speech she made regarding who or who should not be suspected by airline security staff.

‘Meanwhile 100% of the terrorist attacks on U.S. airlines for twenty years have been committed by Muslims. When there is a 100% chance it ceases to be a profile. Its called a description of the suspect’.

In light of the recently discovered bomb plot for transatlantic flights from the UK, I think this is rather apt

National Sterotyping, Extremely Funny

This piece has been doing the rounds on the internet with a couple of different versions, I thought I'd post it here.

New Security Alerts

The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent bombings,
the level has just been raised from 'miffed' to 'peeved'! Soon
though, the levels may be raised yet again to "irritated' or even "a
bit cross". Londoners have not been a "bit cross" since the blitz in
1940 when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been
re-categorised from "tiresome" to "a bloody nuisance", The last time
a "bloody nuisance" warning level was issued was during the great
fire in 1666.

Be aware that the French government announced yesterday that it has
raised its terror alert level from RUN to HIDE. The only two higher
levels in France are "Surrender" and "Collaborate". The rise was
precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag
factory, effectively paralysing their military capability.

It's not only the French that are on a heightened level of alert,
the Italians have increased their alert level from ! "shout loudly
and excitedly" to "elaborate military posturing". Two more levels
remain, "ineffective combat operations" and "change sides".

The Germans also increased their alert state from "disdainful
arrogance" to "dress in uniform and sing marching songs". They have
two higher levels, "invade a neighbour" and "lose".

Seeing this reaction in continental Europe the Americans have gone
from "isolationism" to "find another oil-rich nation in the middle
east ripe for regime change". Their remaining higher alert states
are "attack the world" and "beg the British for help".

Finally over there in Britain they've gone from "pretend nothing's
happening", to "make another cup of tea". Their higher levels are
"remain resolutely cheerful" and "win".

Two good articles here.

The first an interesting piece about the merits (or lack thereof) of Human Rights Watch

The second another good analysis from Barry Rubin about the lack of merit in talking to terrorists

Ann Coulter Cleanses Jeremy Paxman

For anyone who ,as I do, really dislikes Jeremy Paxman and his arrogant, supercillious and bullying manner, I recommend watching this video of him on News Night being taken to the cleaners by renowned U.S.right-winger Anne Coulter. At one point he even blushes when she points out that his introduction of her conforms exactly to the left-wing media hegemony she battles against. Enjoy!

New Somali ‘Taliban’ Whip People for Smoking Pot

The new Islamist regime, the Supreme Islamic Courts Council, controlling Mogadishu and other areas of Somalia is living up to its fundamentalist image and is whipping people for various crimes, smoking pot among them. The Supreme Islamic Courts Council, formerly know as the Islamic Courts Union, has documented links to al-Qaida. It has been sheltering three people wanted by the U.S. in connection to the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam and several key figures of the regime are wanted themselves in relation to international terrorist activities. If you’re looking for the new global jihadi headquarters, watch this space.

MOGADISHU, Somalia - Mogadishu's Islamic leaders gave seven men 40 lashes each for using or selling marijuana, meting out the punishment in public Wednesday in a dramatic example of the region's new fundamentalist rule.

British Sell Hi-Tech Equiment to Iran

The British government has been selling night-vision equipment to Iran which was supposed to be used for counter-narcotics operations. Is it just me or is this supremely naive and stupid. Transferring equipment which has such an obvious military use to Iran, with all its terrorist proxies not to mention the country’s own extreme hatred for America and the West, cannot be anything other than dumb. There should be an investigation in the U.K over how it was never even contemplated that this hi-tech equipment might end up in the hands of Hizballah, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard or any other terrorist extension of Iran.

An urgent investigation was launched last night after Israel accused Britain of indirectly supplying Hezbollah terrorists with military night-vision equipment that helped them to target Israeli soldiers in Lebanon.

The equipment was found by Israeli troops in Hezbollah command bunkers in southern Lebanon. Each set was stamped “made in Britain”.

Retraite

So, the craven, contemptible French government once again demonstrates to the world its spineless nature and the emptiness of its endless twiterrings. After banging on about a cease-fire throughout the whole war, and calling Iran a stabilising force during Israel’s war with Iran’s foreign legion Hizballah, France proudly says it will contribute the majority of troops for a 15,000 strong UN force. Only then the French remember that they haven’t won a proper war by themselves since the Hundred Years War over 550 years ago and don't like going near an actual war zone. Merde, they say, what have we got ourselves into. Let’s say we’ll give 200 troops which should nix the whole peace-keeping force idea and with any luck even those guys won’t have to go. Pathetic, shameful, disgraceful, feeble, cowardly, snivelling, go ahead, pick an adjective, or send one in yourself below.

Ya'alon Talks

Excerpts from a transcript of a Question and Answer session with Former IDF Chief of Staff, Lt-Gen Moshe Ya’alon, courtesy of Atlas Shrugs

‘This conflict is part, from what I see, of the global war of jihad, led today, not by Al-Qaeda, led today by the Iranian regime, calling to impose the Shia Islam all over the Middle East, to dominate the Middle East, to lead the Arab world, the Islamic world, and of course the Iranian regime believes to impose Islam all over the world....

...This regime [Iran] is challenging the international order, the world order, by all means by generating, instigating terror everywhere in the Palestinian area, in Lebanon, using Hezbollah as a proxy, in Iraq, providing, equipping, and encouraging Shia elements to fight the US or the coalition troops in Iraq, and even providing it to Sunni elements, they provide explosive devices and so forth, and of course not to allow political stability in Iraq...

...Iran is going to get away again and again, for being a rogue country, for provoking this kind of attacks, for harboring terrorism, for financing terrorism, for creating terrorism. And this is the case with Syria. The Syrian regime should be punished after facilitating those attacks. It's very clear. Bashar al-Assad even (unintelligible), that he allows Khaled Mashaal to claim responsibility for the attack in the Gaza Strip, from Damascus, and from his last statements, it's very clear that he supported Hezbollah to provoke this attack, and he might get away with it...

...Without confronting Iran politically or economically, in the end we will have to confront Iran by military force, and it should be of course the last resort, but by avoiding the political or economic confrontation, I am sure that at the end we wouldn't be able to escape the military option. So this a challenge for the near future and we have to deal with it.

Points to Ponder

This is just Jeremy Clarkson’s regular Sunday Times column, this time a rather gross account of him checking himself for prostate cancer. I just thought I’d highlight a rather amusing comment of his.

‘But with knowledge gleaned solely from the BBC website — which almost certainly will blame the rise in popularity for prostate cancer on either the Israelis or global warming — and with nothing to hand except a soapy index finger, I’m afraid I wasn’t able to say whether whatever I’d found had cancer or was in rude good health’.

Cost of War

The Lebanon War Will Cost Israel NIS23 billion, that’s £2.7billion or $5.2billion. NIS12 billion is in direct costs and the downturn in economic output will wipe NIS9 billion off of GDP. The state will also pay NIS2 billion in emergency aid to affected regions.

Syria Transfers Arms to Hizballah During the War

This is the report I was referring to in an earlier post regarding continued Syrian connivance in the war

‘Syria continues its efforts to transfer large quantities of war materiel, including rockets, to Lebanon, in an effort to assist Hezbollah in its war against Israel, a senior Israel Defense Forces source told Haaretz on Saturday....

...Senior Syrian army and intelligence officers are involved in the arms smuggling, according to the senior IDF source, who says it is unlikely this continues without the explicit support of the regime in Damascus’.

Cantankerous Analysis

So, it certainly seems that this war has been a bit of a catastrophe for Israel. We had an opportunity given to us by Washington to really smash Hizballah and we just didn’t do it. Olmert delayed the required ground offensive until two days before the cease-fire was implemented, meaning that the day before the cease-fire Hizballah was still able to fire 250 rockets into Israel. This was also due in large part to the decision not to bomb Syria, which supplied rockets and rocket launchers to Hizballah throughout the duration of the war and helped coordinate the Hizballah operations from Syrian territory with the help of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

We now have a cease-fire agreement that is already being contravened by the Lebanese government which has said that Hizballah can keep their weapons in the south. It is also important to note that Hizballah is part of the Lebanese government with two ministers in the cabinet, so how that entity is supposed to impose its will, and the will of the U.N, on Hizballah is puzzling to say the least. It’s like telling Osama bin Laden to ensure that al-Qaida rein in its terrorist activities.

Furthermore, the U.N cease-fire resolution was not passed under Chapter Seven of the U.N. charter meaning it cannot be enforced by force. French soldiers will only fire on Hizballah when temperatures in the underworld fall considerably. The chances of the Lebanese “army” taking on Hizballah are, I would venture to guess, considerably less. French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy, who during the war said that Iran was a force for stability in the Middle East has already said that disarming Hizballah will only be achieved through political means. As is obvious to most people who actually live on this planet as opposed to French-diplomat cuckoo-land, Hizballah are not known for their openness to political and diplomatic persuasion. Basically, it will not be long before Hizballah will be back on the Israel – Lebanon border digging in, rebuilding their fortifications and the situation will have returned to that of 12 July, 2006.

In addition to this, the cease-fire resolution brings up the topic of Shebaa Farms for discussion and for the international border to be re-examined. This is a horrendous mistake as it provides justification to Hizballah's original attack. The international border was delineated by UN resolution 1559 in 2004 and even talking about revising this ruling effectively means that the UN (and Israel by accepting the resolution) is allowing Hizballah to define international law, and legitimises its stance and position in international affairs.

Moreover, and as terrible as this sounds, I feel that the lives of the 117 soldiers who were killed were to a large degree sacrificed for nothing. Despite these losses we have not achieved our war aims, primarily that of dealing Hizballah a mortal blow. If Olmert had taken the necessary decision at the beginning, however hard it may have been, for a full scale invasion, deploying up to the Litani and rooting out Hizballah from this region then the four weeks grace Israel was given by Washington could have been much better used than the endless bombing raids which don’t seem to have achieved all that much. Our casualties may have been higher but at least then we may have had something to show for them.

Furthermore, America gave Israel a carte-blanche to strike a hefty blow against the Iranian-Syrian-Hizballah-Palestinian terror axis and we messed it up. They held off a cease-fire resolution for a month in the expectation that Israel would strike a harsh blow to one of Iran’s strategic assets but we failed to seize the opportunity. I feel that Israel will be back in Lebanon sometime again, maybe it’ll only be in another six years but this is not the end of the story. As the saying in Israel goes, ‘In Israel we live between wars’. I forgot to mention that Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev are still held captive by Hizballah.

Take a look at this article by Barry Rubin and these two (“An Unmitigated Disaster” and “The Olmert Government Must Go”) by Caroline Glick for some honest and sobering analysis of the war and its outcome.

Would You Believe It? More Staged Photos?

Here's another one for you (above, left), caught by the blogosphere, check it out for the entire picture series which you’ll need to see to understand what I’m on about. (Picture on the right relates to the bottom of this post.)

“Super rescue-worker runs around bomb-blast site helping rescue stuff, then takes a breather for a bit and plays dead for Hizbal...erm New York Times photographer, while holding onto his hat under his arm”. Erm...that wasn't the original caption. The original caption in the New York Times was some clap-trap about bodies being buried under rubble. The New York Times has since corrected the caption after receiving complaints.

Also, look at this array of poignant pictures of kids toys. Funny how these toys are always around when AP and Reuters photographers are about. I particularly like Tony the Tiger's pose. Just so isn't it? Amazing how he landed in the perfect position for a photo-op after being blown up by an Israeli F-16 missile.

More Camera Trickery From The Hizballah - Mainstream Media Alliance

Oh dear oh dear, the mainstream media is at it again. Check out this post from Drinking From Home

Picture 1 (for Reuters), a woman bewailing the destruction of her home on 22 July. Picture 2 (for AP) , the same woman bewailing the destruction of a different home of hers, (maybe she was in property – ed) on 5 August. Just look at the agony on her face, all her possessions obliterated by the Zionists, homeless with nowhere to go. Except, that is, till the next Hizballah propaganda set. This woman is in short an actress brought in either by AP or by Hizballah’s media arm for AP and Reuters to bring to world attention the terrible havoc Israel is wreaking on Lebanon.

Again, to reiterate, Hizballah will not allow a journalist to walk around Beirut, Tyre, Baalbeck or any other Hizballah strongholds doing as they please. The journalists are provided with minders and tour guides and are told exactly what they may or may not picture and record. This is a media war against Israel and we must be aware of how it’s being waged.

British Muslims Chant Their Support For Hizballah Terrorists

Listen to these British Muslims and assorted leftist riff-raff chanting their support for Hizballah. Lovely isn't it, these British citizens openly shouting their support for war-mongers and murderers. What has happened to the Green and Pleasant Land?

More Blood Libels From The BBC

Did I say don’t trust the mainstream media. At about 18:00 today (Israel time) the top headline on the BBC website was blasting out something about Israel having killed 40 Lebanese civilians. I looked around on the Israeli media and couldn’t find anything about it and thought this was rather fishy so I took a screen-shot of the page in anticipation of the stealth-edit and cover up. (I recommend clicking on the picture to be able to read it)

Sure enough, the latest ‘massacre’ turned out to be another lie, this time coming from the mouth of the Lebanese Prime Minister himself. Of course the whole of the mainstream media, BBC, Reuters, et al, jumped at the chance to show the world the appalling brutality of the Zionists and their blood-thirsty ways. They beamed this report round the world for a few billion people, slandered Israel and then pretend as if they hadn’t done anything wrong. Try looking for the story with the original headline, it’s gone, although to be fair the article did quote Siniora and didn’t state the deaths as definitive fact.

Whatever happened to journalists checking their facts and sources before publishing? If this type of libel was made against an individual or a company they’d be sued for millions. Ah, but if we’re talking about the Jewish state then it’s open season, no holds barred.

DONT TRUST THE MEDIA!!!!!

In the spirit of the Infantile Doodle Competition, I thought I'd post this link to a highly amusing dating agency video for Hassan Nassrallah, produced by Adam Mutterperl . Enjoy

Reuters Caught Lying for Hizballah Then Apologises

Over Saturday and Sunday, Little Green Footballs thought that the Reuters picture (at left) looked a bit dodgy due to the weird repeating patterns in the smoke and some of the buildings which appeared duplicated in different parts of the picture. See here and here for the full story at LGF.

Reuters subsequently pulled the photo, apologised “for any inconvenience” [what? Don’t you mean for fabrication of evidence (ed)] and suspended the photographer in question, one Adnan Hajj.

These incidents just keep stacking up: Reuters photo doctoring, Qana, striking UN posts, Jenin, Muhammad al-Dura, Palestinian corpses falling out of their coffins and then getting back inside, the list just goes on and either the mainstream media MSM is complicit or it just accepts Arab lies hook, line and sinker simply because making the Jews look bad is their agenda. Don’t put up with it people, do not believe the MSM and do not trust it. Anyone living in the U.K. should stop paying their TV Tax...I mean BBC public subsidy...erm, I mean TV ‘License’. Just think about it, your tax money pays for sob-stories about Hizballah and Hamas.

Did I say don’t trust the mainstream media recently? Don’t trust the mainstream media.

Mainstream media propagate Hizballah propaganda

Not content with their own vile propaganda arm, Al-Manar, Hizballah have successfully infiltrated the western media. Journalists are given guided tours of Beirut and other cities by Hizballah personnel and only allowed to see certain things, photograph certain areas and write particular stories. Which they do most obligingly. What the world then gets is nothing more than a manipulated, staged and false impression of the war.

This was proved by a singular CNN reporter, Anderson Cooper who reported on his experience in Beirut with his Hizballah minders. He said

“We'd come to get a look at the damage and had hoped to talk with a Hezbollah representative. Instead, we found ourselves with other foreign reporters taken on a guided tour by Hezbollah. Young men on motor scooters followed our every movement. They only allowed us to videotape certain streets, certain buildings. Once, when they thought we'd videotaped them, they asked us to erase the tape. These men are called al-Shabab, Hezbollah volunteers who are the organization's eyes and ears.”

Qana Update – Body Count Halved

Yup, the raging hysteria of the world should now be cut in half because the official body count for the Qana incident is half the original claimed by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and numerous other nefarious human rights organisations and the entire mainstream media. HRW actually came out with this admission in a press release (while not apologising for the mistake but taking the opportunity to take more pot-shots at Israel) but of course the BBC, Guardian, Independent and all the other usual suspects just bury the story and hope you’ll never find out about it.

This on top of the whole mystery about how the building didn't collapse for seven hours after the air-strike (see below) and the staged pictures captured in all their gory, manipulated horror Where, I ask, are all the pictures of the fifteen Israeli corpses from today on CNN, Reuters, AP, AFP, BBC?.

Did I say don’t trust the mainstream media recently? Don’t trust the mainstream media.

Michael Levin, Zichrono LiVracha

Today, the 3rd of August 2006 and Tisha B’Av 5766, hundreds of people filed through Mount Herzl military cemetery for the levaya (funeral) of St.-Sgt. Michael Levin, twenty-one years of age, who was killed fighting in the south Lebanese village of Aita al-Shaab, along with two other comrades, St.-Sgt. Yonatan Einhorn and Lt. Ilan Gabbai. As we made our way through cemetery we walked past numerous graves of soldiers, all younger than me, who had fallen “whilst fulfilling their duty”, as their epitaph read. Some had pictures by their grave, a hauntingly graphic memorial of the terrible sacrifices made by the young men and women who have defended Israel with their lives for the past 58 years. During the eulogies I wondered how much longer mothers and fathers will have to bury their children, how much longer until we can rest from our enemies and live in peace. Many of the soldiers in Michael’s company came in wheelchairs, on crutches, with bandages and neck braces and their heart-wrenching eulogies reduced over 500 people to tears. I am not comforted by the statement of the Rabbis of the Talmud that ‘Eretz Yisrael is acquired through suffering’. That the levaya took place on Tisha B’Av, the day of utter calamity for Am Yisrael, made this saying especially poignant, and the fast and all the terrible disasters that befell us on this day throughout history seemed very real and immediate.

Still, there is always hope and whenever I go to a wedding or Sheva Berachot here I am always blown away by the words ‘soon HaShem our God, let there be heard in the cities of Yehudah and the courtyards of Yerushalayim the sound of rejoicing and the sound of happiness, the voice of a groom and the voice of a bride, the sound of celebrating grooms from the chupah, and of youths from their feasts and song’. This prophecy has already come to be, we just have to work a bit harder to realise the others.

St.-Sgt. Michael Levin was laid to rest on Thursday afternoon in a funeral that began at 5:00 p.m. in Jerusalem's Mt. Herzl military cemetery...St.-Sgt. Levin was one of three soldiers killed Tuesday in the southern Lebanese village of Aita al-Shaab, along with St.-Sgt. Yonatan Einhorn and Lt. Ilan Gabbai.... Michael Levin was visiting his parents in the US when fighting erupted in northern Israel. So he cut his vacation short, hopped on a plane and rejoined his Paratroop Brigade unit’.

More Evidence Casts Doubt Over Mainstream Account of Qana

Israel Insider provides a Lebanese report which says that Hizballah placed a rocket launcher on the building in question as bait for the IDF and brought invalid children inside the building to create the ultimate PR victory for themselves. According to the report, this was a desperate measure in light of Lebanese PM Siniora’s seven-point plan including a cease fire and the long-term pacification of the Israeli/Lebanese border.

The Confederate Yankee raises some serious issues with the accepted version of events, including the disparity between the time of the IDF air-raid and the time the building collapsed. Warning, the pictures below the report are very graphic.

The blog EU Referendum questions the Hizballah version of events through problems raised by the photographic evidence. More very graphic images here. Report and Update

Judeoscope highlights a letter sent to German Paper Der Tagesspiegel from a Lebanese Shia from south Lebanon in which he says

“The social work of the Party of God consisted in building a school and a residence over these bunkers! A local sheikh explained to me laughing that the Jews would lose in any event because the rockets would either be fired at them or if they attacked the rocket depots, they would be condemned by world opinion on account of the dead civilians”.

Check out Michelle Makin’s Summary of the Qana controversy at Hot Air, click on the video at the top of the page.

The Truth is Out There...Don't Let the Media Stop You Seeing It

Well, a lot going on in this war, a lot for the mendacious mainstream media to carp on about. Sadly, the true facts about the war are not really reported by the BBC, Guardian, Socialist Worker, et al since their agenda doesn’t include explaining Hizballah’s use of residential areas for shooting rockets, or UN posts for that matter, the 300,000 Israeli internally displaced persons and the misery suffered by the people in northern Israel. Check out the links below for the lo-down on what’s really happening.

Qana DeathsThe IDF is reporting that the building which was hit by the IAF in the southern Lebanese village of Qana collapsed seven hours after the IDF strike. Furthermore, 150 rockets have been fired on Israeli towns so far from Qana. Hizballah have also hid rocket launchers in the village. The incident is also extremely similar to the shelling of Qana in 1996 for reasons which the mainstream media does not point out. In that Hizballah fired from civilian positions and waited to reap the whirlwind of international condemnation when Israel fired back and accidentally killed over 100 of the civilians Hizballah had been hiding behind.

little green footballs again doing great work exposing Hizballah’s continued use of UN positions to fire rockets at Israel.

BBC Whitewashes katyusha fire - ‘Katyusha rockets hit the Israeli border town of Kiryat Shemona on Sunday, wounding several people, in what residents described as the worst day so far’. For a start it was 140 rockets which hit Kiriyat Shmona and the north on Sunday. Secondly, I’m almost certain this article has been stealth edited as I’m sure I saw a previous version say “several rockets” which is obviously such an amusingly silly description that even BBC editors couldn’t keep a straight face. Sadly, I didn't take a screen shot so I can't prove this. However, BBC stealth edits are well documented.

Did You Know?: 300,000 Israelis have left their homes, Rockets Hit Hospitals in Nahariyah

French FM: Iran is a stabilizing force in Middle East.

Well, the French know where their bread is buttered...and where their oil comes from as well. French foreign minister, Philippe Douste-Blazy said “in the region there is of course a country such as Iran — a great country, a great people and a great civilization which is respected and which plays a stabilizing role in the region.” Snivelling is the only way to describe it.

WATCH THIS!!! - PALESTINIANS USE UN AMBULANCES TO TRANSPORT TERRORISTS.

Couresy of Atlas Shrugs, confirmation that for Islmists, the rules are, there are no rules. This is footage from 2004 which hasn't made it to the light of day until recently showing Palestinian terrorists catching a lift in a UN ambulance, as you do. Of course whenever Israel stops an ambulance at a checkpoint with some poor Palestinian woman giving birth or sweet old gramps having a coronary and the worst happens, it's not this appalling abuse of international law and ethical norms that is blamed but the evil Zionist bloodsuckers.
